What do I need to get started?

To get started with GovDirect®, all you need is a Windows-based PC that meets the minimum requirements and your AUSKey as issued by the Australian Business Register.

AUSkey is the Australian Government standard for authenticating your business with government services.

GovDirect uses AUSkey to login to the system and to authenticate your business with the government.

My accounting system is not listed, can I still use GovDirect® ?

GovDirect® allows users to manually key in data directly to reports. We will also be adding new accounting software support to the GovDirect® as part of our standard product development cycle.


If yours is not currently supported, please contact us and let us know what you use so we prioritise the list appropriately!


What are the minimum system requirements for GovDirect® ?

Processor: 1 GHz minimum, 2 GHz recommended.

RAM: 1 GB minimum, 2 GB recommended.

Disk Free Space: 850 MB minimum, 2 GB recommended

Windows XP or later

.Net Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1.


Install GovDirect®

The GovDirect® client is available for Windows XP or later and uses .NET version 3.5 service pack 1. If you wish to examine system requirements and recommendations in more detail, click here.

You can install GovDirect® by clicking install. If these components are already installed, you can launch the application now.
